It is a new era for Abuja’s popular radio presenter, Sunny Onaji, as he joins Silverbird Communication’s Rhythm 94.7FM Abuja.
He began his media journey when he served as the Corporate Communications Officer for HASAL MFB Abuja before transitioning into broadcasting. He started his radio career as an intern with Love 104.5FM Abuja and later joined Jordan 93.9FM Abuja, where he founded one of Abuja’s most listened-to shows, “INSPIRE SERIES.”
His days at Jordan FM marked an era of inspiration and great talk shows on the breakfast programme. His inspiring voice and depth of knowledge in current affairs and politics, both locally and internationally, made him a force to reckon with and earned him a place in many homes, as his early morning presence on radio could not be ignored. His departure from Jordan FM was felt, leaving a vacuum, especially among lovers of his inspirational and motivational programme.
He left Jordan FM at a time when Nigeria Police Radio 99.1FM was being launched and joined the station, where he had a brief stint before leaving to establish SOL Studios Media Network. Through SOL Studios, he hosts his podcast, “Sunny Onaji Live,” and publishes solnews.ng, a feat he continued to promote until his recent appointment at Silverbird Rhythm 94.7FM Abuja.
Going forward, it is expected that he brings his wealth of experience over the years to the radio station and migrates his teeming fan base to his new radio home. It is worthy of note that it is the same Sunny Onaji — same voice, same energy, and same content — on Rhythm 94.7FM Abuja.
Therefore, Sunny is poised to replicate and even surpass his past records of engaging content and energetic delivery that made him a favourite among many of his followers.
